
Welcome to the Miner Groups rules page! This page is designed to make understanding our rules simple and easy, but please note that this is not intended to be a full or final list. Rules are expected to be followed by all users, regardless of their rank or time played on the server. As the owner of your Minecraft account, you are responsible for what happens while you are logged onto Miner Groups. If a rule is broken during your time online you'll be punished accordingly, just like everyone else. Our staff team works incredibly hard to keep Miner Groups safe and enjoyable for everyone. If you find yourself being warned by a member of our team, you are expected to respect their decision and work with them to resolve the situation.
The way users conduct themselves in our chat is incredibly important, as Miner Groups aims to be a friendly place for players of all ages. Below are examples of the kind of conduct that will result in a punishment, but note that the descriptions for each are not exhaustive. Finally, our chat rules apply to all forms of chat (public, private, party, etc).
Inappropriate Language & Discussion
We do not allow profanity, vulgar abbreviations, or any other content that is not appropriate for players of all ages. We also do not allow discussion surrounding inappropriate or controversial topics. This includes, but is not limited to: politics, race, and religion.
Spamming & Rioting
To maintain a healthy chat experience, intentionally disrupting chat through repetition or flooding is not allowed. Additionally, please use our chat channels for their relevant purposes.
Promoting & Encouraging Spam
Encouraging other players to spam in chat is not allowed. This includes asking for chat countdowns, song lyrics, and other forms of promoting chat disruption.
Disrespectful & Abusive Behavior
All Miner Groups players deserve to play on the server free from drama and abuse, thus we do not allow speaking to other players with the intention of disrespecting or abusing them.
Sharing Others Information
Leaking sensitive information about other users, including in a joking manner, is not allowed. This includes using methods of misleading players into giving you their sensitive information, such as IP grabbers.
Advertising & Promotion
Advertising third-party websites, servers, links, or non-Miner Groups related content, is not allowed. Miner Groups content can be advertised so long as it is follows our spam rules.
Hate Speech
Miner Groups strives to welcome all users, thus the use of slurs in ANY context, or discrimination towards other players is not allowed.
Death Threats & Suicide Encouragement
Statements that involve harming, threatening, or encouraging harm towards other users in any capacity are not allowed. This includes in “joking” manner.
Advertising
Any form of gambling is strictly disallowed on Miner Groups. This includes any form of messages that encourage a player to pay for the chance at getting something in return, without any guarantee.
We expect our users to behave in an appropriate and respectful manner at all times. Miner Groups is designed to be a casual game, not a place to cause havoc. Below are examples of behavior that will result in a punishment, and remember; your account is your responsibility!
Unwarranted PVP
Bypassing PVP restrictions to attempt kill other players without their knowledge or consent is not allowed.
Scamming
Deliberately engaging in a sale or trade where the items agreed upon are not given as stated is not allowed.
Inappropriate Usernames, Skins, & Builds
The use of skins, usernames, and builds that are not appropriate for players of all ages.
Impersonation
Intentionally pretending to be another player in order to unfairly benefit or harm other members of the community is not allowed.
Lying To Staff Members
To ensure Moderators are effectively able to fulfill their roles of protecting the community, do not lie to them, refuse to provide information about critical issues you are aware of, or provide false information about punishments, evidence, or reports.
Punishment Evasion
While alternate accounts are typically allowed on Miner Groups, you may not use these alternate accounts to avoid a punishment you’ve received on your main, or other accounts.
Real Life Trading
Offering real-world currency in exchange for Miner Groups items is not allowed, nor is selling, trading, or giving away Minecraft accounts.
Cross-trading items from other games in exchange for Miner Groups items is also prohibited.
Leaking Assets & Non-Public Information
Miner Groups is a server where many cool things are in the works at all times. Due to this, traces of our upcoming content can be found at times if you are looking in places where you shouldn't. Leaking non-public information or items that aren't obtainable in-game is strictly disallowed, unless you are sending an official screenshot posted by a team member.
Miner Groups does not permit the use of any clients or modifications that provide an unfair advantage. If a mod gives you an unfair advantage over other players, don't use it. If you are caught exploiting any bugs with the base game or our own systems, you will also be punished instantly.
Xray & Cave Finders
Modifications or exploits that allow you to find ores or caves through illegitimate means are not allowed. These include but are not limited to: xray resource packs, xray mods, and cave finder minimaps.
Non-Cosmetic Software
Modifications that are not considered to be cosmetic, or give you an unfair advantage are not allowed.
Hacked Clients
The use of hacked clients that give you a unfair advantage compared to others are not allowed.
Harmful Macros & Scripts
Automating any action you would normally conduct yourself is not allowed. This includes physical means of automation, such as mouse weights.
Duplicating Items
Duplicating items impacts everyone’s playing experience, therefore is not allowed. If you find a duplication bug, please report it to a member of the staff team.
Abusing Bugs & Glitches
Our systems aren’t always perfect, so some unintentional issues may arise. Abusing these issues is not allowed, and we ask that you report them to a staff member, and refrain from selling or trading any unobtainable or bugged items. Exploiting bugs present in vanilla Minecraft is order to gain an unfair advantage is also not allowed.
Breaking any of the above mentioned rules can result in a suspension of chat privileges or access to the Miner Groups platforms.
Please do not discuss any punishments in public channels. If you think you were punished unfairly, you may appeal your punishment here.
